What
is Brass? Brass
is an alloy comprising of copper and zinc with the more
common ones containing 5 – 45 % zinc. Those alloys
with a high copper and with up to 30 % zinc are also known
as Tombak.
Leaded brass contains not only copper and zinc, but also
up to 3.5 % lead to improve the machining properties. Also
special brasses contain further alloying elements, eg aluminium,
iron, manganese, nickel, silicon and tin which predominantly
raises the hardness, but also enhances friction properties
and corrosion resistance.
We produce seamless brass tubes in a variety of alloys in
coils or in straight lengths. These tubes are finished in
accordance with
DIN 1755/17660/17671
DIN EN 12449
and also to special customer requirements.
